Sponsored by the Japanese government, the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths Programme was successfully organised from the 10th to 16th of December 2023. CHAN Man-ching from 5M was successfully nominated as a Hong Kong representative team member, during which she travelled to Japan to exchange and learn.

CHAN Man-ching participated in an array of diverse activities, including visits to Japanese schools, homestaying with a Japanese family, visiting the Marubeni Gallery, Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto Food Culture Museum and Nijō Castle. Through the activities, she acquired a profound understanding of Japanese etiquette, history, historical monuments, traditional apparel, religious culture and culinary habits, forming friendships with locals in her journey.
