The Launching Ceremony of the ‘Distinguished Master, Accomplished Students’ mentorship programme (jointly organised by The Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences and Hong Kong Institution of Science) was held on 28th January 2018. It is an honour that 5M CHAN Ching-yui had an opportunity to have an exchange with Mrs. Carrie LAM Cheng Yuet-ngor, GBS, Chief Executive of HKSAR, and is going to be the mentee of Prof. John LEONG Chi-yan, DSc, MBBS, FRCS, FRCSE, FRACS, FRCOST (Hon), FHKAM (Orthopaedic Surgery), SBS, OBE, JP, who will voluntarily meet him regularly throughout the coming two years.

The programme has totally invited 33 distinguished scientists and engineers to be the volunteer mentors of 128 senior form students who are interested in science. It aims to give advice on their life planning and to help them go to the path of science. The programme will last for two years.
