Organized by the HKFYG Leadership Institute and supported by Hang Seng Bank, the 2nd ‘Seek Our Way Social Ideation Programme’ focused on three main topics: Sustainable Development, Culture and Arts, and Elderly Wellness, attracting over 400 secondary school and tertiary student participants.

Over a span of 5 months, participating students were guided through a series of interactive activities and diverse visits by community leaders and mentors, therefore deepening their understanding of societal needs and exploring ideas for social innovation proposals.

Our school students participated and won the Grand Award in the Junior Secondary section. Recognizing that most online shopping packaging is difficult to decompose naturally, the team conducted a series of tests and successfully developed eco-friendly packaging materials using rice husks and coffee grounds. This innovative replacement for traditional packaging aims to alleviate the solid waste crisis in landfills.
